The Historic Dockyard Chatham

Four hundred years of exciting naval history and architecture set in an 80-acre site. Ships include HMS Cavalier, Britain's last World War II destroyer, the submarine Ocelot and the Victorian sloop Gannett, currently under restoration. Lifeboat! displays 15 full size lifeboats, archive film and artefacts. In 'Wooden Walls' visitors can discover the 18thC dockyard with an animatronic adventure. There is also a working ropery, shops and restaurants and a riverfront museum telling the naval history of Chatham.
